Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with

These terms are between you and the entity named at the foot of this page, which operates QuickScreens. By using the site or the editor, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

2. What QuickScreens is

A browser-based tool for composing App Store and Play Store screenshots from your own captures. It runs entirely on your device — we do not receive, store or process the images you work on. See the Privacy Policy.

3. Free use and the watermark

You may use the editor free of charge for as long as you like. Exports made without a licence carry a QuickScreens watermark. Removing, obscuring or circumventing that watermark without a licence is a breach of these terms.

4. The licence

A one-time payment of $25 grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use QuickScreens without the watermark, for as long as the service exists. There is no subscription and no renewal.

Your licence key works across your own browsers and machines, capped at 5 concurrent devices. Beyond that the least recently used device is displaced rather than blocked, so you cannot lock yourself out. The licence is for you or your organisation — please do not publish or resell your key.

“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not a guarantee that the service will run forever. Should we ever discontinue it, we will give reasonable notice so you can finish outstanding work.

5. Your work is yours

You retain all rights in the screenshots you import and the artwork you export. We claim no licence over them, and — since they never reach us — we hold no copy. You are free to use your exports commercially, including in store listings and paid advertising.

6. Device frames and third-party trademarks

The editor includes frames depicting third-party hardware. Those devices, their designs and their names are the trademarks of their respective owners, who are not affiliated with or endorsing QuickScreens. The frames are provided so you can present your app in context.

You are responsible for how you use them. Apple and Google each publish marketing and brand guidelines governing how their hardware may be depicted in store listings and advertising, and those guidelines — not these terms — determine what is permitted in your listing. Please check them before you publish.

7. Refunds and your right to cancel

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason or none. Email support@quickscreens.app from the address you used at checkout. We do not ask why, and there is nothing to return. Your licence is revoked when the refund is issued.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you also have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Our refund policy is written to be at least as generous as that right, so you never need to rely on it or waive it — exporting immediately after purchase does not cost you anything.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe. Beyond 14 days we are not obliged to refund, but we would still rather hear from you than leave you stuck with something that is not working.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• circumvent the watermark or the licence check, or help others to;
• resell, sublicense or publish your licence key;
• use the feedback board for spam, abuse, or anything unlawful — everything posted is reviewed before it becomes visible, and we may decline or remove posts at our discretion;
• attack, overload or probe the service, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.

We may suspend or revoke a licence for a serious or repeated breach. Where we do, and the breach was not deliberate, we will contact you first.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep QuickScreens available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may be added, changed or retired as the product develops. Because the editor runs in your browser and saves locally, a service outage does not put your in-progress work at risk.

We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights we will update the effective date above and, where we have your address, tell you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

10. Disclaimers

QuickScreens produces artwork at the dimensions the stores publish, but we cannot guarantee that any listing will be accepted. App Store and Play Store review decisions are made by Apple and Google against their own criteria, which change without notice. Beyond what these terms state, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

11. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including, if you are a consumer, your statutory rights, which these terms do not affect.

Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, and the state and federal courts located there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
